You missed one of the best! If you haven’t already, you must try Joe’s Espresso, 2500 30th St. One of the few places that treats making espresso as an art, not just the push of a button. Decent prices, too. http://www.joezespresso.com/

They were part of the Barista Jam in June. I didn’t make it out for that but heard it was a good time. Yeah, Joe’s baristas fine tune their espresso maker to hit the sweet spot. Something like 187 degrees F for a perfect espresso?

What I haven’t figured out is why there is a such a huge void of shops north of Pearl on 28th Street. There’s nothing. We work in Tebo Plaza. Granted it’s pretty yucky commercial up here, but I think someone could cash in from having shop here. My options are Vics or Joes on 30th both are too far, or Starbucks in Safeway (the worst).

What about the Belvedere Belgian Chocolate Shop at 15th & Pearl? They serve Organic, fair trade coffee from Coda Coffee out of North Denver. One of the few espressos I can drink without adding anything. They use local, all natural (no growth hormones!)
Also, There is CHOCOLATE! What else do you need? If you want a coffee alternative, try their frozen hot chocolate.
There is a wide open Wi-Fi link (Linksys) that works really well.

What about Ozo Coffee Company in the old Lick Skillet location on E. Arapahoe? The owner has been in the coffee scene here in boulder for over a decade and is one of the most knowledgeable baristas in town (2nd place in the recent competition).
