Cafe M is now Tee & Cakes
We would have written about this long ago if we had realized that when Cafe M closed and reopened as a new shop, it retained its tables and wireless. We were under the assumption that the idea behind Tea & Cakes didn’t include a work environment. We were wrong. Oh well.
So, where Cafe M left off, Tee & Cakes took over. T&C’s deal is being run by the locally semi-famous Kim Boos, master pastry chef. Co-located in the shop is Side B Apparel, Kim’s boyfriend’s clothing line. T&C is continuing Cafe M’s service of Boulder Organic for its coffee line. We don’t strongly disapprove, but we don’t really approve, either. Ok let’s be frank, the coffee is sub-par.

Cappy Hour!?
Heck yeah! From 3-5 Monday through Friday, Sidney’s has “cappy hour.” 1/2 price cappuccino, latte and macchiato. With great coffee (Conscious Coffee!), the BEST baristas in town and and a new and improved food menu, how can you go wrong? The only gripe – the working environment is non-existent. There is WiFi but with only a few small tables and a pretty steady noise level, not a lot of work gets done. No worries though, Sidney’s is still top of the heap in my book!
So next time you’re looking for your afternoon fix – I’m thinking Sidney’s.
Good Riddance
Vic’s is gone! Vic’s is gone! From downtown at least. And to be perfectly honest, I really don’t like seeing a coffee shop go under, but if you read this blog, we wrote them off a long time ago. Their service was shoddy, work environment was sub-par and coffee was poor. On the other hand, Vic’s at Ideal Market still ranks pretty high on our “best of” list. Their baristas are top notch. So no tears, I know Vic’s still has a cult-like following.
Want to see a couple reviews of Vic’s downtown…

BTW, the last review is spot on!
